Covid-19 Update: Recently we have called for a re-doubling of efforts from all our members in respect of procedures aimed at holding off the impact of covid on the clubs 2020 season.  Unfortunately covid has won this battle and we have received our first positive case amongst the U16 ladies team.  Can we re-assure members that we take the situation very seriously and are following all PHA and GAA guidelines whilst liaising with those affected. The player involved is doing well and the club is liaising to offer all guidance and support necessary for a full return to health.

To be clear the Public Health Authority, the Tyrone County Board have been informed.  The PHA will contact those deemed to be at risk due to their close contact and they will be asked to self isolate for 14 days as a precaution.  The advice is that whilst that happens, the U16 ladies action will be suspended but other unaffected club activities will continue.

Our Minor and U16 lads and our Senior mens Reserve team are all still in competition and whilst the position of other clubs have stalled competition we are conscious that we have our part to play in ensuring a safe return/completion of these competitions.

We once again appeal to all members and their families to adhere to Covid guidelines; monitor your health; wash your hands; cover your mouth/nose if sneezing; keep your distance; act responsibly and respectfully.  If you have any symptoms isolate immediately and seek medical guidance by phone.

Ultimately there is a lot more at stake than football so again we appeal to all members to extend these practices beyond the club and into the community.  Please take every precaution in school, in shops, out with friends and at home.  Stay well everyone. Go raibh maith agaibh.

Also the committee would like to congratulate those in the minor team who continue to show great commitment and leadership by volunteering around the club and particularly in the coaching of the youngsters coming through.  We need to see more of this from their older peers. Well done girls.
