The club continues to offer our sincerest condolences to the Bullock, Currie and Barnard families who suffered such devastating  bereavement after the tragic event in Cookstown. We extend our full support to the community and especially to the Bullock family at this most heartbreaking time.  We wish all those injured a speedy recovery and again offer our support to those teenagers suffering from this traumatic ordeal. May the souls of Lauren, Connor and Morgan Rest well with God and give the community around us the strength to support and help heal the young people of the area.

St Patricks Day: Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh- Happy St Patrick’s Day to all. Well done and thanks to our Culture Group and their helpers who organised music; tea and sandwiches in the Torrent complex on St Patrick’s Day.  Great entertainment and kind hospitality for all the village. Culture: There is the opportunity to organise a beginners Irish language class in the Torrent. PITCH SIDE:

Wee Pats (Nursery – P3)  (week 5) It’s the last session this friday 22nd March at 6:30pm in the Torrent Complex Sports Hall.  Huge thanks to the senior men and minor ladies for helping out with coaching.  Massive well done to all the boys and girls, we hope everyone enjoyed the ‘Wee Pats’.  Keep an eye on social media for this group getting out on the pitch.

U8/U10 Boys: Times and days for outdoor sessions will be posted soon.

U14 lads: Result 9-17 v Dungannon 3-01. Well done lads. Training continues Thursday 6:30-7:30.  League Rd 3 is now Monday 25th March @7pm home to Cookstown Fr Rocks.

Minor Lads: Training continues Wednesday at 7:30pm. League starts this Sunday 24th March at home to Moy. Check social media for confirmation of throw-in.

P2-P7 Ladies: Everyone’s looking forward to getting out on the grass. Times and days for outdoor sessions will be posted soon.

U14 Ladies:  Again well done to all the girls for completing the winter skills programme see you all out on the grass Sat 2:15-3:30.

Minor Ladies: Training continues Tues 5.15-6.30pm and Thurs 7:30-8:30 with seniors.  Next league Fixture Rd 5 away to Cookstown.

Senior Ladies: Training continues Mondays and Thursdays 7.30pm-8.30pm.

Belfast City Marathon:  Ladies Minor Coach and Marathon supremo Pete Conlon is taking on the Belfast City Marathon on Sunday 5th of May.  Training is going well and Pete is battling through the poor weather and staying injury free. The ladies youth teams are helping Pete raise sponsorship which will go towards both the ladies football teams and Torrent Buddies. Please look out for one of the girls or their coaches and give as generously as you can to support Pete in this huge effort.

IN THE STAND:

The club encourages and welcomes everyone to keep an eye on games coming up and try and get along to watch our youth matches whether you have somebody playing or not.  We have an exceptional crop of youth players and teams coming through, both girls and boys. Check out the fixtures above and whether you are new to the village, an ex-player, a family friend or just a football fan there’s plenty of talent and competitive action coming up. Come along and cheer the village youth along and be part of the roller coaster that is our GAA season.

Volunteer Day: Saturday 30th March, in preparation for the senior season kicking off the club is calling on all members and families to ‘chip in’ to give the club and grounds a spring facelift.  Any contribution of time or skills will be welcomed. Please keep an eye on social media for further details.

 

Membership fees for the 2019 season are now due.

Just go online and register your child as a member or speak to a committee member.

Club Donaghmore: Club Donaghmore is a monthly-subscription of £12.50 (£150 per year) which goes directly to the running of the club (facility improvement, utility bills, travel costs for teams). This subscription includes automatic membership for you, your spouse, and any of your children under the age of 18. All Club Donaghmore members are also entered into a monthly prize draw for £150 first prize and £50 second prize. New members always welcome, both players and parents.  Just drop in to any of the training sessions above and speak to one of the coaches or committee members

Tyrone Summer camp: We will be hosting the Tyrone summer camp on 22nd-25th July. Camp is open to boys and girls aged 5 to 14yrs.
