Comhghairdeas: to parish neighbours Galbally who won the 2019 Intermediate Championship from everyone in Donaghmore (except Chris Faloon apparently, and don’t delete this). Great achievement for the club and great experience for their supporters. 👑
Ádh mór: Everyone in the club would like to wish Adrian and QB the very best of luck as they lead Magherafelt, O Donovan Rossa into the 2019 Derry Senior Final on Sunday 20th. Fine achievement men. 💥
Culture: The club is hoping to host a Céili in the near future. Great night’s dancing for young and old and of course a great chance to meet new people. Look out for dates and don’t be afraid to come along and experience something new but old? 💃
Scór na nOg: The club really wants to put a drive in to this years Scór competitions. We’ve had a great response so far so maith thú agus go raibh maith agaibh to Mari and Clare. First round of scór na nOg is next weekend 18th/19th/20th of Oct. Plenty of disciplines including music, recitation, quiz, solo singing and ballad group. Another great opportunity for our youth (U17’s) to get together, meet new friends and express their talents. Irish Class: Our beginners and intermediate classes continue Tuesday’s 7pm for beginners and 8pm for intermediate. Great response, we hope everyone enjoys getting to know each other. Classes have begun well and everyone is looking forward to hearing more and more Irish spoken amongst our members. No matter how much or how little irish you have this is a great wee course at a pace that suits all. Supporters: Only a hand full of games left for the club this season. The U13 season is short and sharp with only 5 games played off in quick succession. The U16 lads fantastic season could have 3 semi finals on the cards after the championship quarter final (tues 8th). Please give everything you have in supporting these lads. Great bunch having a great season. The seniors and reserves have only Clonoe and Killyclogher left with Clonoe next Sunday 20th our last home game of the year.👤👥👤👥👤👥

U16 lads: 3A bounced back from their championship disappointment with an emphatic display in their league qtr final. Well done and good luck in the semi final lads (fixture TBC). 1A had another strong win in their league qtr final V Killyclogher; then last night (Tues 8th Oct) they beat Omagh to secure their place in the Championship Semi Final, which is fixed for this Saturday at 11:30am again playing Killyclogher. Good luck to the lads and their mgt. Keep an eye on social media for confirmation of fixtures and results.
U13 lads: have Carrickmore at home next Wed 16th at 7:30pm, then away to Cookstown on Sun 20th at 11:30am. Good luck lads.💪
Ladies Football:
P2-P7 Ladies: Welcome break for a month or so then we’ll be thinking of our annual presentation night and plans for next year so stay tuned. Again please keep the girls active with a football at their feet even if it is in the house.
U12 Ladies: Apologies for giving the impression this squad were finished for the season. They have won through to the next stage of the County Knockout blitz which should offer a great finale to the season. Well done again girls and mgt.💪

Sympathies & support: The club, all our players and members continue to offer our thoughts, prayers and support for those in our club and our community dealing with sickness and bereavement at this time. We would also ask that as the summer ends and autumn/winter approaches members consider the elderly in the community and offer whatever support and company they can.

2020 Season: We are already planning the 2020 season and as you can imagine the football club needs lots of volunteers. If you are not already, perhaps you are new to the village or area and have any interest please feel free to speak to any member and we’ll find a use for your time and skills. From cooks to coaches; CEO’s to PRO’s; thinkers and doers!! All welcome; a club for all ages!!
