Senior and Intermediate Championship Finals; The Club would like to extend our best sporting wishes to all clubs taking part in this weekend’s County finals especially neighbours Edendork and putting rivalry aside our neighbours from Dungannon. Ádh mór oraibh.

Fixtures: Our great run at youth level continues with our Minor lads reaching both league and championship finals.  U16 Grade 1&3 teams both play Championship Semi Finals this week. For a rolling list of results and fixtures please check the post pinned at top of the club Facebook page.

Senior and Reserves:

Result:Reserves 0-12 V Coalisland 4-13: Seniors 1-11 V Coalisland 2-13.

Fixture: Reserve Championship: Sat 19th Sept at 2pm in Ardboe.

Fixture: Seniors (only) Home V Derrylaughan Sunday 20th Sept TBC. 

Ladies Seniors:

Our senior ladies are taking a break but planning for 2021 is underway and details on a winter programme will be published soon.  If anyone wants to get involved in our senior ladies team please feel free to chat to any committee member or player.

Ladies minors:

Thank-you to all the girls who are fantastic role models for our younger members.  Thanks also to Megan, Niamh, Eamon, David and Stevie for their commitment in managing the minor squad.

Minor Lads: 

Result: Championship Semi Final – Donaghmore 3-10; Dromore 1-09. 

Fixture: Next up is the League Final V Cookstown next Wed 23rd (Time and Venue TBC).  Comhghairdeas agus maith sibh to the lads and their coaches.  Please note the Championship Final is also against Cookstown (Details TBC). All support welcome. 

U16 Ladies: training continues with fixtures expected soon. Couple of friendlies going on in the mean time. Good luck in the season ahead to all the girls.

U16 Lads: 

Result: 1A beat Both Domhmaigh (Gortin & Glenelly) last thursday 9-15 to 3-06 in the League Semi final and now face big rivals Ardboe in the League Final (Details TBC).   

Fixture 1A: This Friday 18th 1A have the Championship Semi final V Omagh away at 6:15pm.   Good luck from all in the club.

Fixture 3A: Championship Semi final away to Edendork is also next Friday 18th at 6:15pm.  Again good luck to the 3A lads and well done on your quarter final victory. 

U14 Ladies: training will resume Saturday at 12 but no competition has been planned so far.

U14 Lads: 

Both U14 teams have bowed out of the championship.  That brings the U14 season to an end.  Well done to the lads and Thank-you to their coaches.  Enjoy the break, see you all next season.

U12 Girls: training continues as per group chat.

U12 Boys: will train Mondays (times as per whatsapp)

U6,U8, U10 Boys and Girls: will all train on a Monday evening.  It looks like there will be no competition for these age groups.  This will be a phased approach and needs careful co-ordination.  Parents are asked to be extra diligent around covid processes and patient with arrangements.

Any newcomers to the club/village are welcome.  Contact Martin O’Neill (Youth Co-ordinator) on 07801819631 or Mark Nugent (Registrar) on 07833367485. Alternatively, just bring your boots to one of the above sessions and speak with one of the coaches.

Cultúre agus Gaeilge.

Check out the club website for our new Cultúre and gaelige page.  In there you’ll find lots of scór info and we are excited to introduce our own gaelige learning page.  With sections including match related phrases.  So please take a look and share if possible. NEW LESSONS ADDED!! AND NOW WE HAVE THE INTRODUCTION OF AUDIO LEARNING so you can listen to the phrases as well as read them.  Great work by Seán Ánton in promoting our native tongue.

Sean Anton has been social shielding through the covid epidemic but with some light at the end of the tunnel a class is being planned for sept along side the possibility of a zoom class.  Please contact  Seán Antón Ó Conalláin on 07709714100 or saconlon15@hotmail.co.uk to register your interest.

Health and Well Being: Nothing new to report from our Health and Well being committee but hopefully there will be something new coming soon.

Covid-19 Update: Restrictions remain in place and the onus remains on us as individuals to maintain our focus on the simple but effective measures.  Monitor your own condition, fill in your health questionnaire, wash your hands, maintain a social distance, use common sense and respect others.  Please note we are asking members and players to be extra vigilant and to re-double your efforts to ensure we maintain a clean bill of health for the club and community.

REMINDER: All players and members must keep up to date with their health questionnaire confirmation before every training.  Wash your hands as often as possible, help to sanitise all equipment, adhere to club recommended procedures.  Please consider others.

The club and all our members offer our prayers and condolences to all those in the community dealing with illness and bereavement.  We continue to support all our members in any way possible. Please respect the delicacy of wakes and funerals observing covid guidelines where and when requested.
