U12 Team wins Myles McCann Tournament in Errigal Ciaran

Saturday the 15th of September saw a team from the U-12.5 panel attend the annual Myles McCann Tournament hosted by Errigal Ciaran.  The boys made a slow start to their first group game, overcoming a strong Clan na Gael team by a single score.  Hitting their stride, two further victories over Beragh and Killeeshil meant they topped their group, and set up a Cup semi-final against Cappagh, while the other semi was contested by Omagh and Galbally.  The two parish neighbours moved forward to meet in the Final.  A closely fought encounter followed, where an early Donaghmore lead was reeled in by the determined Galbally lads, to leave the score all-square with only two minutes left on the clock.  Finishing strongly, the St Pats boys grabbed the last two scores to lift the Myles McCann Cup for 2018.  Our own Connor O’Neill was also chosen as the Player of the Tournament and was presented with his award by a familiar face to all, Peter Harte.  Congratulations to the boys on their performance and we pass on our thanks to the Errigal Ciaran club for hosting a fantastic tournament.
